Please Stay Tuned

I hope to get some photos on the blog this weekend from my Quilts for Christmas photos. I know....I know......here we are in February and I am still stuck on my projects from two months ago. My life has been really full and busy the past few months. So much to do and unable get it all done.

Since late December I have been having trouble with my right eye. I woke up one morning with my eyelid so swollen I could only see through the slit it left. The eye ached so badly I could not move my vision to the side or up and down with pain. It was worse around bright light. Mr. S. got me right into his eye doctor that morning and after numerous visits, tests, new prescriptions for glasses, 4 different eye drops, and more tests, the right eye is finally on the mend. It was a very scarey time to think that what I had could lead to sight loss.

I still have the eye drops several times a day and the eye gets droopy by mid-day. I have to be very careful with daily eye strain. No more contact lenses and I am not a good candidate for Lasik. (sad) Wearing glasses is not favorable for me but it is better than the alternative.

I am slowly moving back to sewing my quilt tops and getting them quilted which is a good thing. I have sorted my fabric stash a few times because touching and feeling fabrics and color sorting does not cause eye strain. But I really am itching and anxious to get back to sewing, quilting and creating.
Just in case you were wondering!

Oh my! I had no idea. I hope things get better soon. And here as I began reading your blog and you mentioned how far behind you are on your projects, I was thinking about the Christmas tree that is still up in my living room.

Love you
