Men in Dark Suits

Conference Weekend, Carrie went to play with her mom and her sister in the evening and Kevin went to Priesthood Meeting with Dad and Chris and Tane. (Tane is our foster son-compliments of our son Chris). We love Tane like one of our own. There are always good laughs to be had when all those boys get together. They are all so handsome in their suits!!!! And now days no one is without a cell phone!!!!! Except Emily! It seems like when we are together someone is always doing something on their cell phone! Ah, modern technology. What did we do without them, they are so much a part of everyone's life these days. Tane is ALWAYS texting and receiving text messages. Chris is eating homemade cookies while talking on the phone - multi-tasker. Oh what a trio! Hey Kevin.....................are you ordering Pizza??

Then along came the caboose and his bride....

April started with a quick visit from Kevin and Carrie. They came up for Carrie's mother's birthday and for General Conference. It was wonderful to have them with us for the whole day on Saturday and to share conference with them. We were spiritually fed and enlightened and what a blessing to hear from our leaders once again.

Mandy and the girls came over and Ashley had fun with her favorite Aunt Carrie. Carrie is a big hit with the little girls because of her beautful long brown hair. They love to brush it, put clips in it and play with the long hair. Carrie is such a great sport, thanks sweetie. Scott came over for a quick visit and a few hugs from his little brother and sister.

March - A Time for Visitors

March was a very busy month in our home. We are blessed to have in our lives those that love us and like to visit. My nephew, Caleb, a professional skier, was here in early March. He stayed with us 5 days and it was great to visit with him. He was skiing in competion at Snowbird. We see him about once a year and it is always great to catch up on his life. He is one of my brother's 3 sons.

Later in the month, Emily and Michael and their 3 offspring spent a day with us. Even though our visit was short, how great it was to see them again and to enjoy their company. They were here in town visiting Michael's family. We had everyone except Kevin and Carrie, our southern college kids, over for dinner. I hope someday we can get our full 6 together again with their spouses, you know, everyone together for just a picture or two with everyone. It just doesn't seem to happen anymore. I can't remember the last time we had all our kids and all their spouses and children together. It has been a several years. They all have such busy lives and are getting more and more spread out. Miss Innocence- how many times have I seen this look????

Emily lives in quiet, rural Oregon. She loves her life there and tranquil life apart from the big city. She doesn't really miss the city life...much.............. until she comes home and finds fun new toys to play with. I need to remind myself that when Emily comes to town- I should keep my cell phone away from her hands. She loves to send text messages to her brothers that may not make sense and do self portraits to remind me she was there!!! 5 minutes was all the time she had but wow, she made good use of it! You are a beauty dear! One of a kind and I love ya.
