New Year's Eve

Check out this guy- he was ready to party. Happy New Year!

New Year Fun

In November I entered a radio contest and won 2 tickets to Dancing With the Stars Tour for December 30th. I asked my hubbie if he wanted to go with me as he was my first choice. He told me very quickly to find someone else.......so I did. I asked my daughter Mandy and she jumped at the chance. Little Ashley was disappointed that there wasn't a third ticket so she could go with us. When Mandy and I go out somewhere together we usually need someone else along to keep us out of trouble and under control.
Our first choice is always Emily because she loves us in spite of our naive character and she keeps us educated and out of trouble. However, she was busy that night doing her "elk meat grinding"... plus she lives over 800 miles away. sigh......... We had to go without her but I am proud to say that Mandy and I did very well. Until............

I was so upset that I had free tickets to the show and I had to pay $10.00 for parking that I left my cell phone in the car!!! After we got to the entrance and it was a very cold walk to get there; I turned around and walked back to the car to retrieve my phone. When I came back to the entrance the second time around, two cute young men were handing out CDs and promoting a new band. They gave me a free CD. They politely asked if they could take my picture holding the CD of the new singing group. (Teenie boppers will love the new sound of Derek Hough from Dancing- I have to say that I think that he is a better dancer than a singer!) Well everyone, Watch for me.....You may see me somewhere in the future holding up the CD for Ballas Hough Band. I told them they could use my photo for promotional purposes- ha, ha, an old lady like me.....! ta da.....

Here is a photo of Tony Braxton singing and Cheryl Burke talking after dancing. Sorry, bad quality photos.

During intermission I practiced photo taking with my camera. You can see that I wore my comfortable shoes to the show and that I am still trying to perfect my "self portrait" techniques.

It was a great show and lotsa fun! Afterwards, we called Emily from the parking lot and gave her our report. We just needed to let her know that we were ok although we were stuck in the $10.00 parking lot waiting to get out on the road!!!! GOSH.........
